Terms of use

These terms cover your use of the Universal AV website. They are not the terms of any hire or project — those are set out in the quotation and agreement we issue for your event.

By using this site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

What this site is

This is an information and enquiry website. It describes the services we provide, the equipment we hold and the kinds of events we support, and it lets you send us an enquiry.

It is not a shop. There are no prices, no basket and no checkout. Nothing on this site is an offer to contract, and submitting an enquiry does not create a booking, a reservation or a contract of any kind.

Equipment listings

The equipment pages describe items we hold and what they are used for at events. Please read them with the following in mind:

• A listing is not a reservation. Availability depends on your dates and on what is already committed. We confirm availability when we respond to your enquiry.
• Specifications come from manufacturer sources. Where a page identifies the exact model we hold, the figures are that model's published specifications. Where the exact model is not established, the page says so and names the model the figures describe. Either way, the exact configuration supplied for your event is confirmed in writing before it is agreed.
• Configuration varies. Fitted options, accessories, radio frequency bands, lenses, mounting hardware and cabling are not all recorded on these pages. Tell us what you need and we will confirm what is included.
• Quantities are not published. How many of an item are available on a given date is answered on enquiry, not on the page.

Quotations

Any figure we give you is set out in a written quotation. A quotation is valid for the period stated on it, applies to the scope described on it, and is subject to availability at the time you accept it. Delivery, setup, operation and technical support are included only where the quotation says so.

Accuracy

We take care to keep this site accurate and current. Even so, equipment records, photographs and descriptions may contain errors or become out of date, and the site is provided on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind. Nothing here should be relied on as technical advice for a specific event. Ask us, and we will answer against your actual requirement.

Photography

Photographs of events on this site show work Universal AV has been involved in. They illustrate the kind of production we support. They are not a claim that any particular client, brand or venue shown endorses us, and they are not a representation of what your event will look like.

Intellectual property

The text, layout, design and photography on this site belong to Universal AV or are used with permission. You may view and print pages for your own use in evaluating our services. You may not republish, sell or systematically copy the content without our written permission.

Manufacturer names, model names and product images belong to their respective owners. They appear here to identify equipment accurately. Their use does not imply that we are an authorised dealer, distributor or partner of those manufacturers unless we say so explicitly.

Links to other sites

We link to manufacturer pages and technical documents so that you can check specifications at source, and to our own social media profiles. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data.

Your enquiry

Please send accurate information, and do not submit personal data about other people unless you are entitled to share it. Do not use the enquiry form to send unsolicited marketing, automated submissions or anything unlawful.

How we handle the personal data in your enquiry is set out in our privacy policy.

Availability of the site

We aim to keep the site available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it without notice.

Liability

To the extent permitted by Singapore law, Universal AV is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or from reliance on information published on it. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

This clause applies to the website. Liability in relation to equipment hire and event work is dealt with in the agreement for that work.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version published here is the one that applies, and the date below shows when it last changed.
